Providing a joyous Christmas experience to underprivileged children in Butte County!
You can make a real difference this Christmas by donating to Gift of Hope so that we can provide hand-picked gifts for local children in need.
In 2022, we had 1,557 children who received Christmas assistance from Gift of Hope. For each child, we asked their parent about the child's needs and wants so that we can provide presents that will meet the child's necessities as well as provide items that they will enjoy for Christmas.

How it works
Families register
with us
online
Parents sign up their children online with us and then confirm their identity and low-income status with us on our
registration day.
We make a shopping list for each child
We create shopping lists based on children's needs and wants. These lists include age, sizes, and things they like, so you know exactly what to buy.
you choose a child and shop for them
You select a child to sponsor.
There is no limit to how many children you can support, however we do suggest a minimum spending of $50-$100 per child.
YOU SEND THE GIFTS TO US, AND WE HAND THEM OUT
Once you have finished shopping, deliver the gifts to us or have the online shopping sent to our address! Each child will receive their gifts on our handout days as well as receive a free day pass to the Lights of Hope winter wonderland.
About Gift of Hope
Since 2005, we have partnered with the local community to provide Christmas assistance to families in need in Butte County, California. Last year alone, with your support, we made Christmas happen for 1,557 underprivileged children, as well as give them each a free day pass to the Lights of Hope winter wonderland.
This year, we have around the same number of children signed up with Gift of Hope to receive Christmas assistance, and we need your help again to make these children's Christmas wish come true. You can help by sponsoring a child, donating money, or giving new clothes and toys.

Don't have time to shop for a child, but still would like to help? You can make a financial donation online!
We will use your donation to shop for children who have yet to be sponsored, OR to supplement gifts that need to be added to.

Volunteer
Volunteer at Lights of Hope:
We are in need of volunteers to help us make Christmas magical for local families, including all Gift of Hope children.
Lights of Hope is a winter wonderland that each Gift of Hope child will get to experience for free. Proceeds from this event also benefit Gift of Hope and our community.

Lights of Hope is back!
Join us for ice skating, an incredible custom-built sledding hill, inflatables, and a FREE Christmas Light Walk and FREE photos with Santa!
All activities are family-friendly, and Gift of Hope children receive FREE day passes to paid attractions.
Proceeds from Lights of Hope benefit the Gift of Hope and are sowed back into our community through the work of the Father's House Church.
