Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes of skates do you provide?

Our skates sizes run from toddler size 8 to men's size 13.

Can I bring my own skates?

To help maintain the best condition of the ice rink, we ask that you use the skates provided by us, and not your own skates please.

Do I need to book online or can I purchase ice skating tickets at the door?

You can come without an online reservation and purchase tickets at the door. However, please note that there is a chance that we may be fully booked for that hour slot. each 60-minute skating session starts at the beginning of an hour (e.g. 4:00 PM). we highly recommend that you come 20 minutes prior to your start time to ensure you have time to purchase your tickets, get your skates, and can enjoy skating for the full 60-minutes.

What is your refund policy?

no refunds will be made unless the management has found it necessary to close the ice rink or fire pit booths for safety reasons (e.g. heavy rain or technical concerns).

What happens if it rains?

If it rains consistently, we will close the rink and the fire booths and will refund or reschedule your tickets. We will be in contact with you if we have to close due to rain.

What should I wear?

We recommend warm, comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather condition of the day. Customers are reminded that everything is outdoor. If you are here for skating, please be sure to wear socks.

Where are you located and what do I do if I cannot find it?

Our location is 3556 Oro Bangor Hwy, Oroville, CA.

If you are having trouble finding it, please google "Lights of Hope" or "Lord's Gym Kids Mud Run" in Google Maps.

When should I arrive?

If you have purchased skating tickets, we suggest that you arrive  15 - 20 minutes before your scheduled skate time to allow ample time for check-in and getting your skates. If you are here for the fire pit only, we suggest that you arrive 5-10 minutes early for parking and check-in.

What if I am late?

If you arrive late, you will unfortunately only be able to skate or enjoy your booth for the remainder of the 60 - minute session, due to limited capacity.  If you miss your appointment, there is no refund.

What is Synthetic Ice?

Synthetic ice is made out of special self-lubricating plastic and works just like real ice - in fact, ice hockey players use it to train during Summer. Ordinary ice skates are used and the surface is very slippery!

Do I have to pay extra for skate rental?

Skate rental is free and you will not incur any additional charges.

Do you have skate trainers?

We have several skate trainers on-site for people to use for free.
